DIAMOND CUTTERS 59, the Stags
28
Who’s next?
Another game, another record broken. This time two records were
smashed as the Cutters thrashed the Stags to go 4 and 0. This is a
DC record start to the season, and the winning streak record of 3
games was smashed and looks to continue next week when the Cutters
take on the Hubs, who failed to turn up last week.
A strong Cutters unit took their much-improved holistic game to
the Stags, carving them up with each player contributing toward the
win.
Both Ben and Kep ‘Don’t hate the game, hate the playa" stood out
in the win, the latter taking home his second-straight MVP with a 16
point effort, beating the career-high scored last week. ‘Mad
handles’ Ben added fifteen, while ‘the hurripulator’ Yochem
continues in his double-digit run with ten points. Scott ‘the
dispatcher’ added five, and ‘Goods receiving’ Tim two. Note: points
do not necessarily equate to effort or value, as the Cutters
defensive unit shut down the Stags O, forcing them to shoot from the
outside and out-rebounding them by 75%.
The question remains, which one of you punks is game to take on
the DC? If the Hubs turn up next week, surely they will again be
beaten, but maybe this time the Cutters won’t be as merciful as last
week.
Website Launch Party!
The shivoo of the year will happen this Saturday, as the Diamond
Cutters hold their official website launch party. The event will
take place at Empire Pool Lounge (behind Heaven, next to McDonald’s
West Terrace), and will start at 9pm. As usual, being with the
Cutters allows you many benefits, such as free entry (always free anyway), and happy hour from 9-11pm (always this time, we think?) Consider this newsletter
your invitation to the gala, a chance to meet the Cutters in person,
but be sure to be there early as only the first 500 Cutters fans
will be allowed entry into the celebrations. P.S. Wear your
merchandise!
Please continue to visit the Cutters website at diamondcuttersbc.cjb.net for regular updates
and new information.
