Cutters flex wings

In ten quick minutes on Monday night the Diamond Cutters dispatched of ‘the wogboys’, the P Funk All-Stars, with some hard defense and some of the usual 3-point magic from Ben. Wong’s return, despite him feeling under the weather, ensured the league’s strongest offense piled on the points for an insurmountable lead.

Emotions threatened to boil over at times during the match as the wogboys, so used to getting things their way, were lulled into a comatose style of play, riddled with turnovers.

Cutters personality Dave, always a favourite with the fans, as well as Kep were on the end of some hard fouls. Kep, as usual, didn’t just stand there and take it. He, as a result, will front the tribunal on several accounts of striking, kicking and biting.

Wong "deep fry it – I’ll eat it" and Ben ‘of royal blood’, the league’s best one-two punch combo, combined again creating a Cutters win with their 39 point haul. David ‘jelly on a plate’ Levene was sensational also providing the highlights for the game (including a sweet alley-oop), and scoring eight points. Kep ‘lightweight champion’ Schumann had 4, Yochem ‘the puppeteer’ had 4, and Timothy ‘Aussie Rules’ Vanderbom scored 2.

Also, in what’s become a game for Cutters fans, the ‘which player has new shoes this week’ will feature both Wong and Yochem. See if you can guess what brand/model.

On Monday, the Cutters will play Stojkavic, whom last time the Cutters showed no mercy in their initiation to MARS League. Game starts at an accessible time for all fans @ 7:30pm.
