Diamond Cutters Season Opener                                                     Monday 17th 6pm

The Diamond Cutters start their quest for a season 2001-2002 championship this week against the Stags, at home. The Cutters are hoping the holiday atmosphere and early tip-off time of 6pm will combine for a full-house, with the added incentive of the celebration of star player, and last season’s Defensive Player of the Year, Tim Vanderbom’s 21^st birthday, which occurred on the 14^th September. The Cutters will also be hoping Johan ‘The 8^th Wonder of the World’ van Leeuwen will start where he left off from last season, as well as all-star Jason Wong.

 The Diamond Cutters will be aiming for a show of strength on Monday night, to let the league know they are for real this year, and according to their PR Manager Johan van Leeuwen (no relation to the player), will "take no prisoners, stop at nothing, and leave no stone unturned in our journey to the title…no wait…cut that last stone phrase before publishing mate."
