The Diamond Cutters Fall From Grace
The merciless
Hubs with Pappadum at the helm opened up the game with a quick-fire
19-0 run, a lead from which the overconfident Cutters never
recovered, as they went down 45-25. The hapless Cutters could
not manage a score until late in the first when ‘White Chocolate’
Johan dropped a hook from low in the post. Until then did the large
crowd, relatively quiet bar the respectable contingent of Hubs fans,
ignite as the ‘One and All’ Yochem motioned them off of their seats.
The terrible form of the Cutters was in large part due to a
relentless Krooniculous and bad passing all around. Having finally
posted some points, the Cutters then picked up some momentum and D
to restore a little dignity to the scoreline. It was K-Time in
control of the Cutters after the half, leading the team with nine
points. The Cutters will return fresh after the Easter break
taking on a restructured Stags team at home, that should see them go
3-1 early in the season. Diamond Cutters management are considering
reactivating Jason Wong in the wake of ‘Hot Potato Kroon’s’
unjustified performance, which could see him and his hefty contract
waived.
