Cutters Drop Another One

Wake Forest 50, DIAMOND CUTTERS 27

Monday nights matchup saw blinged-out superstars the Diamond Cutters put together a losing streak, something unheard of for the team since back in season 2001-02. The Cutters were only able to field two members of the championship-winning side from last season, in new-look Dave and all-round nice guy Yoch. On 7-day contracts this week were Stephen Cooper and extensions were given to Josh and Rob.

The five-man Cutters, who have never beaten the boys from Wake Forest, were unprepared for the onslaught of dirty play, arsey shot-making and overweight defense. Indeed, the chubby Forests got the job done both in the points and fouls columns. The Cutters were led by Lil' Dynamo Josh with 10, Johan "Big Cap" Van Leeuwen had 7, Steve "Erkel" Cooper dropped 5 and had 100 rebounds to boot, Rob had 3 and Nu-Dave 2. This enormous scoring onslaught by the Cutters was however not enough to match the plump Forests pound for pound, coughing up the L, 27-50.

Big money 4-man Scotty was unable to suit up due to a sudden un-identified illness, much like his NBA hero Alonzo. In this case however, Scotty's affliction is more likely to be "Alcohol Poisoning" rather than "Kidney Failure".
Tim also took another a week off, this time holidaying with his wench in country Victoria. Tim was photographed earlier this week Cubic-Zirconia shopping, and rumours have once again begun to circulate in the Cutters media.
Kep was out due to a nasty purple ankle sprain he received at the hands of Yochem at a midweek practice punch-on.
Ben's European tour has been a successful one, making the German All-Star game (as far as we can gather) without even playing in the league. He has expressed his hunger to get back to the #1 league in the World, Mars, and ball for the Cutters.
Jason Wong, still on the Cutters chillin' list, is advising Mitchell & Ness of how he can best represent in the new throwbacks.

The present may be bleak, but the future could still see the Cutters playing in March if the individual superstars of the team remember that there is no "I" in "Team".

I'm out like the ball on a Tim baseline drive.
