DIAMOND CUTTERS: Champions
2002!!!
Who would have
thought that after only two short years in the league, the once
almost-pathetic Diamond Cutters would come away, trophy in
hand?
As much as we'd all like to thank the
Cutters for that memorable championship, season and franchise, they
too have a few thanks to give. In a statement released Tuesday, the
Diamond Cutters would like to thank it's players, officials and
staff for the hard work and effort that went into bringing the
championship home.
"But most of all, the Cutters want to
thank you, their loyal fans, who have stood by thick and thin,
turning up to games knowing their team would lose but staying to
support and watch every step of the journey. Those who bought DC
merchandise and apparel, those who vote every day on the web-poll,
and those volunteers who do the hard work behind the
scenes."
Be sure to get your tickets to the end
of season awards night, which always promises to be a beauty. Who
will be this years MVP? Well, only three things are certain in life:
death, taxes, and Ben taking home his second consecutive MVP award
on Saturday night. However, this is but one award of many, so be
sure to be there. (Those not A-list celebrities please be prepared
to sit outside, in cage).
Commemorative rings, caps and t-shirts
will be out shortly, as will the mugs, mousepads and bumper
stickers. Catch the Cutters in the Leader Messenger
shortly!
The new season kicks off on Monday with
a Grand Final rematch, so be sure to catch the heated action. Game
starts at 7:30pm.
