DIAMOND CUTTERS 32, Nolan Vehola
30
The Cutters this
week faced C-grade side Nolan Vehola, however, it was a game very
different to last weeks as the Cutters always had the upper hand and
ended up taking the win. Despite no imports this week, the Cutters
played tough on either end to take the game. They were the taller team, and
this was reflected in the blocks and rebounds columns.
Scott 'earth' lead the scorers with 13
points, the infamous Kep 'fire' ran the point well with a
good 7 points, igotnomoney Tim 'wind' scored 2 but was good on the
D, and Dave 'water' failed to score but provided his usual hustle
defence. Johan 'Captain Planet' dropped 10, however the MVP award
this week went to Scotty.
As the Cutters approach the Final's
once-again, crowd support has burgeoned, and the DC Board would like
to thank the fans for their continuing support. Next week sees the
final game of the regular season versus the Casual J's at 10:30pm.
Tim once-again arrived at the game with
but moments to spare, unshaven and reeking of liquor, and was quick
to hand the beanie around for a pack of Winnie Blues. Questions have
been thrown around as to a reason behind Tim's recent bizarre
behaviour, and it is our job as journalists at a tabloid-esque
publication to provide these rumours. For example:
rumour 1: Tim has taken on a naming
rights sponsor, and is to change his name by deed poll to
Preparation H. Vanderbom
rumour 2: Tim will be a special guest
grouch on an upcoming Sesame Street episode
rumour 3: Visyboard's recent price
hikes have made Tim's dream home almost out of reach of the
cash-strapped star.
Picture: Tim gets rich the
old-fashioned way (though some have complained about his strange new
cologne).
