DIAMOND CUTTERS won, The Hubs
lost
Crybaby
Hubs Back For More
In a
desperate grab for ratings, the Mars Monday Night Mens Social
Basketball D-grade Competition League (MMNMSBDGCL) once again threw
together trophy contenders the Cutters and the Hubs for the first
game back after the Grand Final.
Twas certainly a sloppy,
unprofessional affair thanks to the Hubs usual jail-rules play and
the added grudge of just losing the GF to the DC. Thankfully, J-Wong
and the Benster stepped up and helped the Cutters take the W without
too much fuss. Wong takes the MVP.
In a game that most would
rather forget, Kep had this to say after the game: "I had a shocker
tonight, probably the worst I've ever played for the Cutters, and I
appoligise to my boys. I'd also like to send a big hello and
thankyou to Shaggy Derro who gave me an elbow to the back of the
neck. Watch your back fool. "
Play of the Game goes to Tim,
for his one-in-a-million falling-backwards off-balance eyes-closed
tripping-over heave at the ring that somehow found its way in while
Tim was being fouled. The big fella went on to complete the three
point play.
No one can recall the
scoreline for this un-historic game, however Scotty and Dave were
solid, Yoch wasn't too bad but Kep had a stinker as reported
earlier.
