DIAMOND CUTTERS 32, T.B.A.
18
The 5-man Cutters
on Monday returned to form to collect a win and halt the 2-game
record slide they had been on over the last 6 weeks. The
scoreline did the Cutters no justice as most of their shots were
flukey flukes, and the Cutters always held the upper hand.
A return of form for the once Rock of
Gilbraltor Yoch and a steady hand from SDB saw Steve Nash
lookalike's T.B.A. (who by the way, still do not have this season's
uniform finalised and are continuing to wear netball bibs) slowly
wither away in MARS' now staple blistering climate ("it's closer to
the sun", say MARS officials).
Scott never looked like performing any
trademark slam dunk shots however he still managed 14 points (though
0 for 7 from the charity stripe), while Yoch's all-round game (his
passing is back) with 8 points was enough for MVP. Tim 'save Manute'
and Kep were in charitable spirit with many great gifts to T.B.A.,
though they both still had good games, Tim dropping 4 and Kep 3.
Dave was solid with 4 points.
Kep's journey into the tabloids midweek
was met with a response from the PG "I am not a role model, I'm not
paid to be a role model, I am paid to wreak havoc on the basketball
court, parents should be role models, just because i shoot a
basketball doesn't mean i should raise your kids."
Wong report: Wong, in a moment of
inspiration deciding to carve his own furniture (before learning he
could purchase it in stores for 1/100000000000th of the cost of his
Burbury G4 private jet), inadvertently sliced into several tendons
on his hand, putting it out of action for probably a fair while and
further prolonging his much needed return to the timber. The Cutters
are considering paying out his weighty contract or trading him to
Cleveland for Z.
Ben report: Should be back soon, let's
all just hope and pray that he hasn't morphed into some
wierdass German punk (like any prolonged stay in Germany would).
